Hello, I am Steven Barton, and I have two degrees, one in economics and the other in management.

The goal I had for my education was to be broad so I could consult or work for small businesses. Alternatively, I could work in a multi departmental process improvement settings.

The economics degree I picked up because it helps with efficiency. In fact, the first people to work as economists were known as efficiency managers. They were found in manufacturing plants, wholesalers, and retailers.

The purpose of management degree is to improve efficiency in the human areas of business, including training, onboarding, personal development, the design of an organization, human performance, process, development, process gap analysis, business planning, and strategic planning.

Throughout my career, I have expanded my abilities into investigating ERPs via T-SQL. I've written programs in VBA, Python, and C sharp and done some data visualizations. Roles I have held include credit analyst, invoicing and billing analyst, data analyst, financial analyst, it liaison, and various lower level operational accounting roles.

In each of these roles, I have improved the time it takes to do the job and the accuracy of the job by learning how the job works in implementing processes and programming.
